TAB TICKET DRESS
To celebrate Winx’s comeback to racing in the Chipping Norton Stakes, the TAB produced a dress made out of commemorative Winx betting tickets.
The dress, which was worn by Big Sports Breakfast newsreader Maddison-Clare Sloane, featured 348 tickets and took over 120 hours to make. It was worth $20,000 with TAB donating $10,000 each to the National Jockey’s Trust and the Equine Welfare Fund.
TAB CHAMPIONS PICK
A horse walks in to a TAB and picks the favourite — it's been done before… Sounds incredulous but the TAB wanted to create a splash and some theatre for the press launch at Randwick Racecourse for The Championships.
From start to finish, this was a fun event to be part of and proved that if you have a horse, a jockey, a wacky idea and a need to create some PR all you're missing is a giant carrot cake.
